KARL ANDRE TERBLANCHE

Bulletin 3

29 January 2006

This time I thought I would spend some time down by the sea. On a boat to be exact. Unfortunately the weather was far from ideal and we found ourselves blanketed by a thick layer of mist for most of the day. Exposures were a nightmare and there was almost no escaping the grey/white background.

Anyone wanting to get close to marine life, is well advised to go out by boat. As with all wildlife some individuals become confiding while others remain weary. Whatever the subjects disposition towards humans, taking photographs on a bobbing boat is a challenge. But a whole lot of fun as well.

A big thank you to Charl for organising the trip, to Alan the skipper and Levo tours. It was worth it.
