KARL ANDRE TERBLANCHE

Bulletin 4

08 February 2006

It has been a wet week. It just will not stop raining where ever I go. Yes, it rained without fail every single day during my stay at the Waterberg. Clothes just would not dry and the mosquitoes used me for intensive target practice. To top it all off, a generally dark(shaded environment) had the permanent light intensity of dusk. It was too dark most of the time!

Not letting it stop me, I did however manage to get a few images(all the while standing up to my knees in swarms of mosquitoes in the half light). I am still itching all over although the last bite occurred two days ago. I included some images of the roads leading to the Waterberg. They may give an indication of the driving conditions. I do not need to mention that my fuel guzzler made it! --- There and back!---

Enjoy and take care.

This is the road to the Waterberg on the return trip. At this stage the road was no-where as bad as on the approach journey. Muddy tracks where the road used to be. One car passed us on the way...it was from the Waterberg Park.
Water from a river flowing over the road to the Waterberg.
