As promised, this month and quite likely the next one, is dedicated to birds.  In this bulletin it’s all about wild fowl. Once again, I had to get low to the ground, so out came the wet weather gear.   A little tip here, make sure everything is covered and that the drawstrings and Velcro are fulfilling designated purposes.  I didn’t and the very items of clothing that were supposed to remain dry and free of droppings and slime………well use your imagination….It was not the most comfortable day!  But once again the images were worth it.

 Shutter speeds unfortunately were on the low side, quite often under 1/100^th of a second.  A lot of images found their way straight into the recycle bin.  The beauty of digital capture is the quality of the higher ISO settings.  I routinely use 320 as a standard and upped this to 400 on this particular day with very pleasing results.
