Bulletin 30

Life in the Sand
kat_05_07_0093

As promised in the last bulletin, there are a few more snakes in here.  With the exception of the Horned Adder (man she was a beauty), the other two were newly born (or hatched).  New life is always a thrill, and to me there is even a cute factor, if you like snakes. (The rest of you use your imagination).

The best part about being out in the dunes is always the peace and quiet, the “Big Silence”.  This is also where I will end this bulletin.  Enjoy the images.

In memory of my Grandfather, who sadly passed away on Saturday the 23 June 2007: -The Desert will always be home-

The sand dwarfs all!

I sat quietly for an hour watching and observing these springbok.  Until a car came tearing across the plains, causing them to take flight.
