Snow!

"A roaring lion kills no game.." - African proverb

The weather has gone mad! On Friday morning I was crawling around the undergrowth looking for insects and spiders, in jeans and a t shirt, loving every minute of the warm spring sunshine. Two days on and I am freezing in heavy snowfall. Don't get me wrong I got very excited this morning as the snow came down. BUT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE SPRING!

Unfortunately I couldn't venture out to far, so I headed down to the seafront and a short way up the downs. I thought I'd post my very first snow pics for you all to enjoy! Remember I am a desert dweller. Snow is a novelty for me.

And now for other news. I am very pleased indeed to inform you all that I have managed to secure some accommodation in the vast Kgladagladi Transfrontier Park. I just hope the lions play along on this one. Red dunes, lions, black manes etc...............

Take care and all the best.

Not quite Alaska.............but hey! Oh and the building to the left in the image really is that wonky!!!!
And here we have more of the white stuff! And lots more falling from the sky.
One day by a warm fire I will recall the big Blizzard of 2008. I am joking of course.
Be it in the desert or in the snow. There is always something that draws me to the trees.
This is a stitched wideangle image. I can already hear some purist shouting abuse. I just love the distorted perspective.
